Programming built around what children are already curious about

BeSpace offers dynamic and engaging programs that emphasize creative exploration and hands-on learning, for children of all ages — from toddlers to school-age learners — and for the adults around them.

Our programs

What we do

Our work spans multiple facets of education and professional development.

Creative workshops for all ages

We design and facilitate art and creativity workshops for infants, toddlers, young children and families, focusing on process-based learning that encourages self-expression, self-confidence and creative problem-solving.

Educator training & professional development

We provide workshops and consulting services for educators and administrators, equipping them with tools to foster creativity in their classrooms and learning environments.

Curriculum design & consulting

We create custom curriculum plans that integrate process-based learning methodologies, Reggio Emilia–inspired approaches, and open-ended materials exploration.

Special events & collaborations

We partner with schools, educational centers, community organizations and families to develop specialized programming and creative events that engage and inspire.

How a session runs

Art & sensory play

Every BeSpace experience is designed to spark creativity, curiosity and exploration. Each setup is customised to the age group, the location and what you want the session to do.

  • Open-ended materials, set out to invite handling
  • Single sessions or a connected series
  • Delivered in your classroom, centre or community space

Strand 02

Tinkering & building

We believe in a balance. Some sessions are guided; others are open-ended and child-led. Either way there is no single right outcome — children make choices, change their minds, and see their thinking take shape.

  • Cardboard, fixings, fabric and found objects
  • Room to return to a piece of work and rethink it
  • Adaptable for mixed-age and family groups

STEM-based learning

Investigations that start from a real question and use real tools. Children test an idea, notice what happens, and follow it somewhere they did not expect.

  • One question investigated properly, not many skimmed
  • Cooperative challenges that build patience and resilience
  • Runs indoors or outdoors, wherever the work belongs

Good to know

Who can participate?

Our programs are designed for children of all ages, from toddlers to school-age learners. We also welcome parents, caregivers, educators and community groups looking to foster creativity through hands-on exploration.

Where do sessions take place?

We come to you. Sessions run in schools, early childhood and educational centers, community spaces and outdoors in parks and school grounds across New York.

Do you provide materials?

Yes. Materials are planned as part of the session design and provided unless we have agreed otherwise — often we will also use what your setting already has.

Can you build something custom for our school?

That is most of what we do. We create custom curriculum plans integrating process-based learning and Reggio Emilia–inspired approaches, built around your existing programming and your team.

How far ahead should we book?

For single workshops and events, a few weeks is usually comfortable. For multi-week series and professional development partnerships, reach out as early as you can.
